How Do We Use the Information We Collect?

OptiMed does not sell, trade, or rent personal information about its website visitors. The server’s domain name from which a visitor comes is used to determine the number of visitors to our site and the sources of that traffic. OptiMed is committed to securing your personal information. We use technology that is designed for use with secure web servers. Prescription drug information resides in a database behind a firewall that cannot be accessed without proper authorization. Secure Sockets Layer ("SSL") technology encrypts your personal information and prescription health history as it is transmitted over the Internet. You maintain the security of your medical information by keeping your username, password, and other personal info confidential. OptiMed employees and customer service representatives will never request your password.

OptiMed Specialty Pharmacy recommends that you take the following precautions to safeguard your information:

  • Use complex passwords with unique numbers, letters, and special characters, and do not disclose your passwords to anyone. If you share your password or personal information with others, remember that you are responsible for all actions taken in the name of your account. If your password has been compromised for any reason, you should immediately change your password and notify the company that your previous password has been compromised.

  • Be aware of increasingly common email scams that may use your email address to contact you and ask for personal or sensitive information. Always be cautious when opening links or attachments from unsolicited third parties.
